Data Sheets »The Hexnut is a flat-head, hexagonal body, internally threaded blind fastener. The hexagonal shank is designed to increase resistance to torque related spin out and vibration. Hexnuts are offered in Standard and Heavy Duty versions. It performs as a rivet to fasten two or more materials together. It performs as a nut for the attachment of a mating part with a screw. Typical applications can be found in the automotive, recreational vehicle, boating, electronics and appliance industries. They are available in aluminum, steel or stainless steel. Unified thread size offerings for the Standard Hexnut are 10-32, 10-24, 1/4-20, 5/16-18 and 3/8-16. Metric thread sizes of M5, M6, M8 and M10 are also available. The Heavy Duty Hexnut is offered with 1/4-20, 5/16-18 and 3/8-16 thread sizes. The Standard Hexnut installs in a wide variety of grip range tolerances from 0.010 to 0.295 inches and from 0.50 to 7.50 millimeters. The Heavy Duty Hexnut installs in grip range tolerances from 0.020 to 0.230 inches.
