Sherex Rivet Nut Installation Tools

Sherex offers a broad range Rivet Nut installation tool options that include power tools, hand tools and Wrench Type Tools.

The Rivet Nut Power Tools come in two basic types: Spin-to-Pressure (Spin-Spin) and Spin-to-Stroke (Spin-Pull). The Spin-to-Pressure tools thread the tool mandrel into the Rivet Nut by spinning it to a preset pressure that upsets the Rivet Nut. It then applies a reverse spin to disengage from the Rivet Nut. Available Spin-to-Pressure tools include the Flex-5P, SS-800 Pistol Style, the SS-900 Inline Style, and the SS-910 Right Angle Style. The Spin-to-Stroke tools thread the tool mandrel to engage the Rivet Nut and then pull back to a preset distance to upset the Rivet Nut. It then applies a reverse spin to disengage from the Rivet Nut. The Flex-5S and the MS-100 are Spin-to-Stroke tools. The Flex-18 is the most powerful Rivet Nut tool on the market and offers Spin-to-Pressure and Spin-to-Stroke capabilities

The LHF 202 and M4 hand tools are lever type Spin-to Stroke installation tools. These hand tools utilize operator pressure control and feature a rear assembly knob to spin off the Rivet Nut from the application. The M5 hand tool is a ratchet style tool. The LHF 202 hand tool is designed for unified thread sizes and the LHF 202M hand tool is designed for metric threads.

The RNHT Wrench Type Stroke Tool utilizes a simple wrench to apply a linear pull stroke to install the Rivet Nut. The wrench type tools are used primarily for low volume field installations or product prototypes.
